Chatterbox

It can't be possible that it's been over a month since our last post. Where does the time go?? Life has been very busy for us the last few weeks. Of course, with an active toddler around, when is life not busy?

Camden is now 17 months old. He is growing like a weed and is becoming quite the little chatterbox. He still gives us a lot of jibberish, but he is acquiring a good repertoire of words as well. Some of his favorites are: mama/mommy; dada/daddy; uh-oh (which he says even when he intentionally throws or drops something); no-no (which is used when he's caught doing something he knows he shouldn't and is usually accompanied by a wagging finger...wonder where he picked that up??); no (Not to be confused with "no-no"; this is a more emphatic response.); yes; dootie ("cookie"); ditten ("chicken"); dat-do ("thank you" - this is one of the first things he ever said); peese ("please"); nose; mou ("mouth" - he leaves off the "th"); eye; ea-ah ("ear"); dophie ("Sophie" - our cat); ball; puppy; mil ("milk"); and juice. Camden loves to look at books and will occasionally let us read a whole story. Mostly, he likes to flip pages and point to different pictures that we can identify for him. He's also just recently discovered puzzles, though right now he does for taking apart while mommy and daddy do most of the putting together.
