Two Months Old Today

Camden is two months old today...Even as I type, it's hard for me to believe. He is growing and changing so fast. It seems like everyday he does something new. He had his 2-month check up today and is doing great. He weighed in at 11 lbs 2 oz and measured 23.5 inches long. He's come a long way from that tiny "peanut" that rested so snuggly on our chests when he was first born. In addition to a routine check up, Camden got his first 3 vaccine shots today. Amazingly, he handled that great. He cried, of course, when he got the shots (wouldn't you?) but was all smiles again as soon as the nurse was finished. Even more amazing...mommy didn't cry!

Camden also finally lost his umbilical cord stump today...a big YEAH!! We didn't think he would ever give that thing up. His last stronghold to mommy I guess...Anyway, this means Camden can finally have a real bath, which may not be as fun as it sounds. He loves being wrapped up in his hooded towel but hates sponge baths and screams the minute the wet washcloth touches him, so our first true bathing experience should be interesting...We'll let you know...

We made a trip to Virginia this past weekend and got to introduce Camden to some of his daddy's high school/college friends for the first time. One of them gave Camden his first official piece of Star Wars paraphernalia, and I couldn't resist including a picture of it here. Going to see the Star Wars movies was one of his daddy's favorite childhood memories, and he can't wait until Camden is old enough to watch the movies with him.
