Welcome to Our Blog

We are new to the world of "blogging", but we thought we would give it a try. It seemed like it would be a good way to share our lives with family and friends that we do not get to see or talk to as much as we would like. We hope you enjoy it!

For our first post, we thought we would provide a brief update of what's going on in our small, but growing, family. Jeff has been working for ARAMARK as a Hospitality Manager in the Food Services Department at Duke University hospital for almost 9 months now. He really enjoys this job and continually wonders why he didn't get out of retail management sooner. Melissa is still working as a paralegal at Cree, Inc. She's been there for almost 6 years now and was recently promoted to Senior Paralegal. Sophie, our cat, is a little over a year old now. She continues to entertain us. We're convinced she believes she's human. We are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of our newest family member, due to make his entrance into the world any day now...At least, Melissa hopes it's any day now...Her doctors made her stop working a couple of weeks ago due to high blood pressure. (Amazingly, her BP improved after a few days away from the office...go figure! :~) ) She's enjoying being at home and having the time to make final preparations for the arrival of our little one but would have no complaints if he decided to arrive soon...like TODAY!
